GIFT PRODUCT DESIGNER

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Product Designer to join our forward-thinking team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and modifying artwork and creating trendy and fashionable products for the gift industry. Responsibilities

• The product designer oversees the design process of a product from start to finish or the improvement of an existing product.
• Working closely with the Creative Coordinator, Art Coordinator, product managers, and other designers to ensure design alignment with project goals.
• Designing visual elements like patterns, color schemes, typography, and icons based on project goals and directives.
• Creating design specifications and annotations to clearly communicate design decisions to manufacturers.
• Ability to produce precise, accurate and vendor ready art boards in a timely manner.
• Assisting with the design process of products by creating visual mockups, conducting basic consumer research, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, while demonstrating a strong understanding of design principles.
• Identify market trends. Conducting market research to understand market needs. Keeping abreast of current design trends and emerging technologies in the industry.
• Travel: Both domestically + internationally.

Experience

• A portfolio showcasing design skills submitted with resume is required.
• Visual design skills: Proficiency in typography, color theory, composition, and layout design.
• Technical Skills Needed: Mac (Apple) proficient + Adobe Software Proficient — Illustrator and Photo shop.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience specializing in an Illustration role; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Education

Bachelor's degree required, specifically in Art or Design, or any other related field.
